Which version of asyn are you using?

Any particular reason for using an older EPICS 7 version, not the latest release of that branch? (Not that it would change anything for this particular issue, but...)

to st.cmd, but nothing happens.

Does the command "help" on the IOC console show these commands? (That's always a quick check if things have been registered properly.)

Do you have an existing asyn port with that name correctly configured?

If yes to both: Are you sure that something is happening on that port? Do you have records connected that are working?
