Thanks, I did stumble upon that thread was hoping there was some solution out there but you are right doesn’t seem like its easily done.  I did end up using the save format option so stop people from opening the editor at least.

I had the same question a few months ago (see this thread for details: https://epics.anl.gov/tech-talk/2021/msg00569.php) but all of the solutions proposed never worked for me.

My conclusion was that with CS-Studio or Phoebus you cannot do this out of the box.

Hello All,

 

Is there a way with Phoebus to lock particular tabs (widgets) with a password and is there a way to lock only display mode for a GUI to stop someone from opening the editor?
