Thanks Murali, ive been busy getting a bunch of other things running but will need to revisit this in the future.  Will try out some of your suggestions when I get a chance.

To see if it is a networking thing; you could use "curl -v"  to connect to http://192.168.3.50:17665/mgmt/ui/index.html or telnet to connect to 192.168.3.50 17665 from the 192.168.2.25(PC).

You can look in the mgmt's localhost access logs to see if there is a difference when loading the UI from the local machine to the PC. Both Firefox and Chrome also should have more details in the Browser console; you should be able to see any Exceptions there.

Not really; not unless you plan to use HTTPS for the tomcats.
