All,

I am doing some software development (getting MxCube running locally, talking to an EIGER detector via EPICS).

It would be useful to have a simulated EIGER detector for the IOC to talk to as real detectors are not always available.

I have looked at the Python project eiger-simulator

which seems to mostly work but the IOC is unhappy with some responses.

Q: are there asynTrace settings that will allow me to the json content being sent back to the IOC

Q: can you suugest another approach for running an ADEiger IOC without an actual detector?
