Hi,

for a software I am currently working on I need to retrieve the datatype of an 
areaDetector image. Reading <imagePV>:DataType_RBV gives me UInt16 using 
caget.
In my code I create a PVAClientChannelPtr  using:

PVAClientPtr::channel("<imagePV>:DataType_RBV", "pv", 2.0)

The PvaClientChannel has to methods to get the value:
1) getDouble()
	Which in my case returns 0

2) getString
	which in my case returns NULL

Both do not give the expected value of 3. What is the recommended way to get 
the correct value from an enum type PV using the Pva classes from EPICS 7.0.6?
