I'm having a similar problem to that in the thread "EPICS R3.15 and menuScan.dbd".

I'm using v7.0.5 on a scientific linux computer.  I have a custom version of menuScan.dbd
which we need at Fermilab and has been working for a while.  However, recently, I've
added modbus for some PLCs, and now I get build errors when creating my IOCs dbd file:
dbdExpand.pl: A different menu named 'menuScan' already exists
Context: menu(menuScan) in file '/usr/local/epics/Support/modbus/dbd/modbus.dbd'
  while reading 'modbus.dbd' to create 'pip2itVAC.dbd'

I don't have base.dbd in any of my modules, so it seems as though Andrew's suggestions
don't apply to my problem.
