Hi Mirek,
The Manta G-145B uses the Sony ICX-285 CCD sensor. It is 1388x1038 pixels and does 15 frames/s.
The Manta G-235B uses the Sony IMX-174 CMOS sensor. It is 1936x1215 pixels and does 50 frames/s. It is a much better sensor than the ICX-285 with more pixels, greater full well capacity, better sensitivity and higher speed.
I don't have experience with that camera, but I do have experience with that sensor in cameras from FLIR (formerly Point Grey). I have extensively used these models:
GS3-U3-23S6M-C This is a USB-3 version that does 163 frames/s 8-bit and 110 frames/s 12-bit.
GS3-PGE-23S6M-C This is a GigE version that does 48 frames/s 8-bit and 29 frames/s 12-bit.
Any of these cameras should work fine.
If you go with the Allied Vision camera I recommend you switch from the ADProsilica driver to the ADVimba or ADAravis drivers. ADProsilica is based on a very old SDK that is no longer supported.

Subject: AlliedVision Manta G-235B
Hi folks,
We have been using in ALS the AlliedVision Manta G-145B cameras with areaDetector ADProsilica driver for several years .
The G-145B cameras are used to capture beam spot images in ALS.
This camera model is not produced any more so we are searching for an alternative.
The AlliedVision suggested an alternative model: Manta G-235B with similar specification.
Do any of you have experience with Manta G-235B cameras or other models which could be worth considering?
Our requirements are:
GigE standard
pixel size under: 10um x 10um
sensor size 2/3"
update rate 10Hz
12 bits CCD/CMOS
image size like: 1390x1038
triggerable with the external trigger
preferred:
24V power
C-Mount
Best Regards
