Hi Pierrick,

 

It took many years for the CA command-line tools caget, caput and camonitor to gain some of their command-line options including the numeric formatting ones. Unfortunately the pvtools programs haven't reached the same level of sophistication yet, so you're going to have to use some other tool to convert the values you want to Hex for now.

 

It only takes someone who needs output formatting like that to volunteer and do the work to add them, or this might be a good project for an EPICS Codeathon. Of course that raises the question of whether to enhance the pvAccessCPP versions, or do the ones in Michael's pvxs replacement, or do both. Personally I think there are enough people still using the old tools that it would still be worth doing them as well, but others might disagree.
