Weird.
The iptables fix that Andrew mentioned will make any incoming CA nameres request message that is sent to 164.54.160.193 appear as if it was sent to 164.54.160.255 - if that is what the clients use, that iptables fix wouldn't touch the message. Still, the effect that only the first IOC started on 13idd gets the nameres messages matches the behavior when clients send them to unicast 164.54.160.193. Netmask configuration seems right. That "No route to host" message is unusual. Are the route entries on 13idd the same as on the other boxes? The next step could be using wireshark on both ends, verifying name resolution request and reply messages on client and server machines. Good luck, ~Ralph
