Hello All,
I am setting up the Phoebus-based Global Alarms for the Mu2e
experiment. I can get the alarm-server to work for a limited number of
Process Variables. But as I add systems, I get time-out and disconnect
messages. Individually, these will run, but when I combine systems, I
get this error.
I generate ".xml" files that I import into the alarm-server. I see from
the documentation that it is possible to have a config with 100k Process
Variables... So I suspect I am setting up the ".xml" files wrong. What
I have done to include the multiple systems is use a series of ".xml"
files that use the "xinclude" feature to include other files. Is that
correct? Or should I use one large file with all Process variables and
components for branches in the alarm tree?
Also, I thought I could set up the demos to see the structure of the
".xml" file and see what I could be doing wrong. However, I don't see
from the instructions on how to run the demo programs that are built.
Could someone tell me how to run the alarm demos?
Thanks for any help.
Thanks,
Merrill Jenkins
