phoebus data browser - ugly trend plots

Hello,

We've built a rocky9 based archiver appliance and copied the .pb files from our existing archiver to MTS and LTS of the new system.  The archiver's web-browser Quick Chart tool displays the STS/MTS/LTS data fine.  Using the Data Browser or StripChart widget on Phoebus, the new archiver plots very ugly with many horizontal lines.  In phoebus data browser tool, When I use the PV properties , the Request selection, and switch from Optimized to Raw data, the plotting then appears clean .  The Stripchart widget must use Optimized retrieval mode, because that is also a messy plot and there is no Raw Data option there.  I've tried a number of the trend.browser preferences (one even mentions the horizontal lines) to no avail.  PLot image URL below.

Any ideas?
