If you want to go a new route, search for
"beckhoff 4 wire temperature"
There are a bunch of terminals listed.
And there a lot of facilities that use EtherCAT hardware.

For a long time, we used the multimeter Keithley K2700, until it broke.
The Keithley DAQ6510/7700 seems to be the successor of the K2700 that
would fit our needs. But I wonder if there are other systems in use…
We don’t actually need high measurement accuracy, but at least 10
channels would be good.
