Hi Kuldeep,

The IOC does not save information about clients that subscribe to or get values from a PV, but the IOC is designed so that monitors and gets should have almost no effect on the process database anyway. There is no API that provides a list of CA clients currently connected or what channels they have open, although you can see that information in the output printed by the IOCSH command “casr 2”; higher numbers give more detail, and you could redirect the command output to a file if you want to try collecting that. The caPutLog project that Ralph pointed to lets you turn on logging of client puts to an external log-server.

Hello,
I am having a distributed IOC whereby I want to know the device which has accessed the PV. for Read or Write. ie if it was a local ioc access or a CA access from a remote machine.
I plan to use this information for auditing purpose

Kuldeep
