Hi,
The Channel Access protocol was developed long before TLS/SSL were available and will probably never support encrypted or signed transport.
There is an ongoing project for the new PVXS implementation of the PVA client/server library to add support for TLS/SSL, and there are several sites that have been trying this out. It isn’t included in any released versions of EPICS or PVXS yet, but you would
be welcome to join the group that are testing it to help find and fix bugs and hence make it production-ready.
EPICS is developed by a collaboration of interested sites, and without working together in this way it takes much longer to add functionality like this. If you are interested in being a tester please reply here and someone will contact you with more details.

How do I configure CA and PVA communication with TLS/SSL?
