There have been workshops about EPICS building and deployment at a few EPICS Collaboration meetings in the past, showing the many different ways people use to get that part of the job done. The most recent one was at the Saclay meeing a few weeks ago.

Epicsdeb was started >15 years ago, but fell pretty silent after people moved to other places, places moved to other operating systems, and higher portability platforms (Conda, containers, ...) gained a lot of popularity. Classic system packaging requires pretty high effort for a single target platform.

As far as I know, Evan Daykin is the only one actively working on this project for the last few years. Please contact him - in that situation, resources need to be well coordinated to avoid waste. Good luck!
