Hi Nick,

WRT CA, old papers cover the rationale for why things were done a particular
way, and one could also consult the CA talks presented over the years at the
EPICS meetings for similar details. Unfortunately, I haven't written any
talks or documentation on the individual data structures / objects in the
internal parts of code.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is
not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they
are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them
