It's been over 3 months since the R3.14.12 release and the R3.14 branch now 
contains several bug-fixes (one of which is pretty essential) and a few new or 
updated target architectures.  I would like to make a 3.14.12.1 patch release 
containing those changes, plus any other (bug-fix or new arch) modifications 
that developers can have ready to commit in the next few days.  I'm currently 
working on the Release Notes to document what's already in the tree, but I 
haven't checked them in quite yet.

Does anyone have any other modifications that ought to go in at this point?  
Please contact me before actually committing anything.  I am not proposing 
that we go through the full release schedule since the individual fixes have 
all been tested by themselves and no new functionality is being added, 
although we could make an -rc1 release if it is thought necessary.

The APS would like this in time for a shutdown that starts on April 28th.
