Hi Andrew,

It seems I have a hanging test in 3.15 as well

make[3]: Entering directory `/jenkins/workspace/EPICS-3.15/src/ioc/db/test/O.RHEL7-x86_64' perl -CSD -MTest::Harness -e 'runtests @ARGV if @ARGV;' dbShutdownTest.t dbPutLinkTest.t dbLockTest.t testdbConvert.t callbackTest.t callbackParallelTest.t dbStateTest.t dbCaStatsTest.t scanIoTest.t dbChannelTest.t dbChArrTest.t chfPluginTest.t arrShorthandTest.t recGblCheckDeadbandTest.t testPutGetTest.t

dbPutLinkTest.t ............ ok
dbLockTest.t ............... ok
testdbConvert.t ............ ok
callbackTest.t ............. ok

dbStateTest.t .............. ok
dbCaStatsTest.t ............ ok
Starting iocInit
iocRun: All initialization complete
Starting iocInit

[Hangs here]

If I am running the tests for different EPICS versions on the same Jenkins server, can they destructively interfere if the tests happen to run at the same time? In that case I better change the Jenkins configuration to use only 1 worker.

I don't have time to write the full announcement now (need to do 3.16.2
as well), but I did create the 7.0.2-rc1 release earlier and pull out
and format all the documentation for the APS EPICS website.

Alert: On some systems the new netget test program that I added to the
modules/database/test/std/rec directory has been known to hang. This is
a Perl script that starts and interacts with a running soft IOC process
and also runs both caget and pvget to confirm the network operations are
working properly. It is configuring everything to use localhost only,
and the hang may be an interaction between Perl and the iocsh command-
line. I will fix or disable this before the final release; it is
mentioned in the Known Problems page already.
