The '-j1' test (https://ci.appveyor.com/project/epics-modules/ci-scripts/builds/51306572) seems to suggest that the "jobs getting stuck" problem appears when doing parallel builds.

What do you think?

The jobs that look like they time out in the middle of compiling - actually all get stuck in the middle of compiling after having run normally up to that point.

Is "Leaving directory..." always the last line?

I have started '-j1' jobs to see if doing a non-parallel run shows the same issues.
