BURT

burtrb now works correctly. 

I had a minimal environment to run my EPICS applications ... which missed to 
define the cc compiler. As John Winans suggested, I put the SUNWspro cc compiler 
in my path and now everything is ok.

I tried also this :

> could probably make a shell file named 'cc' in your path when running BURT
> that simply contains "cat -;exit 0".  

I  had the following result :

ERROR: BurtProcessRequestFile() encountered invalid pvar name in line ><
**** END BURT LOGFILE

Anyway, my problem is solved as we have access to the right c compiler.

I have always the message 

"did not find any read only notify values ... NO OUTPUT FILE CREATED"

in the burtwb logfile but the restore is ok.

I tried to transfer km.gz from ftp.aps.anl.gov several times monday and this 
morning without any success. I had a terrific 50 bytes/second transfer rate and 
my ftp tool seems to be cute enough to cut the transfer after 15 minutes seeing 
that the task is impossible !!!

Any suggestions to boost the link ?
