This will occur when the pointer to the internal variables associated with the
CA client library is nill.
This would occur if:
1) The function "ca_task_exit()" was called to deallocate client library
internal
variables prior to initializing the client library with "ca_task_initialize()".
2) There is general corruption of memory.
