Hello,
For some time there were fields for specifying the one severity, zero
severity, and change-of-state severity for each bit (yes, 48 fields) in
mbbiDirectRecord.dbd; as far as I know there was never any code for
dealing with these fields in mbbiDirectRecord.c and now in 3.13.3 they
have been removed from the dbd file.
Do people think implementing these fields would be a good idea? Did
someone try it and decide it wasn't practical? I'm working on the byte
widget for edm and could support using them, and I could put them in the
record too if the whole idea doesn't seem unreasonable. I guess a ca
client would have to monitor each bit individually rather than just
monitor VAL for the severity to get across on a bitwise basis?
