Hi Ian,
Sure it is feasible: I'm driving a very simple serial device through
Epics/Linux, haven't seen any problem so far. DM and
channel access also work without problem on that platform.
Other than that, I can't tell if it's recommandable because the release
is still alpha ! maybe it depends on how critical is your system, for us
it's a couple of monitoring devices, so I'm pushing forward for that
kind of solution.

wished,
