Another way of asking is has anyone successfully used GPIBREADW, or GPIBEFASTIW with the NI1014 GPIB interface. Does anyone really require DMA? If programed transfers are used instead of DMA there are two big advantages. 1) A24 DMA is no longer required. Thus it will no longer be necessary to modify the board support packages in order to support the NI1014. 2) The driver could be modified to support other GPIB controllers that use an NEC uPD7210-compatible register set.
