In general, for analogue output it does seem that
caching is probably the best way forward. However, there are
situations where queueing rather than caching would be required.
eg:
An mbbi output requesting processing through a sequence of states
this could be as simple as a device that needs to be switched
off the on again in oreder to reset it.
Taking backlash off a motorised component.
or any other device where a transient peak was required.
Perhaps some mechanism similar to the deadband used
in ai records could be used to discriminate.
