Hi,
I wrote my device support for a waveform record. Record SCAN
field is Passive.
I see next
When I use standard Epics's caput program (==dbpf IOC command?)
IOC calls process function for this the record.
When I use standard Epics's caget program (==dbgf IOC command?)
IOC doesn't like to call process function for the record. And I couldn't
read current value.
Am I right?
Yes. A Channel Access get never causes a record to process.
A Channel Access put causes processing only if the record is passive AND the
field attribute pp is set TRUE in the xxxRecord.dbd file.
Please read chapter "Database Locking, Scanning, and Processing" of the
Application Developer's Guide for details.
