configuring RDB archiver from xml files

Hello all,
I've run the demo RDB that comes with the RDB archiver and I'm ready to set up an initial engine for testing.  I want to use the xml files from the old channel archiver and I have some questions about the command needed to do this.

The command is: ArchiveConfigTool -engine <engine> -config <config.xml> -import -host localhost -port <port>

Specifically, is that port number the one that the same engine was running on for the old channel archiver, or is it a new port that I need to make available?  For a while at least I want to run the two archivers in parallel, so I need to know whether this port is just used for the import or if it will be used for communication by the RDB archiver.
