Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
|
Dear All, Is there anybody out there using PLC hardware from WAGO or Beckhoff to implement equipment protection systems (EPS) for machine protection or beamlines? I know that WAGO or Beckhoff devices are commonly used in many facilities but I am not sure about their usage for EPS applications. We think of doing this but it would be nice to hear about other opinions/experiences. We have been very happy with these devices not least because of the convenient EPICS interface using Modbus TCP. Any comments are much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jens |
