We have traditionally used dbst but this is overkill as dbst was (I think)
meant as a command line interface to most of what dbStaticHost offers. So I
wrote an extremely stupid and simple C program I named dbopt that does this:
read a dbd and a db file, write out a new db file, no options, about 10 lines
of code. Validating a db file against a dbd is included as a side effect.
Can put it on our web page if there is interest.
Andrew's comments in a later message seem to suggest that dbStaticHost no
longer exists in 3.15? That would mean dbopt works only with 3.14.
Cheers
Ben
