Question about rdb channel archive

Dear Dr. Kay,

For special purposes, I intend to let the archive engine write real time data to database every monitor period (my period is 1.0s), irrespective of whether the real time data changed.

I tried to set the XML configuration file for a monitor with engine enforced value change threshold of 0.0 as follows:

<channel>
<name>NSV:P2</name>
<period>1.0</period>
<monitor>0.0</monitor></channel>

However, I faild. I have no idea how to achieve the goal. Any help will be appreciated and thanks in advance.
