Michael Davidsaver developed those tools at NSLS-2 a few years ago and we are still using it at NSLS-2. If you are using Debian or its derivatives, there are package. See this:
https://epicsdeb.bnl.gov/debian/ (and search “archive” in the package list).
Another way to integrate Channel Archiver into Archiver Appliance: use Archiver Appliance’s web interface “Integration”. Simply add something like this http://your-channel-archiver-server/cgi-bin/ArchiveDataServer.cgi to External Archiver
data server(s).
Good luck!

Subject: Re: Channel Archiver data into Archiver Appliance?
Dear Paul,
> AFter more than a decade of service we will be retiring our Channel Archiver and begin using the Archiver Appliance. Is there a tool to migrate/move data out of the Channel Archiver and put it into the data stores of the Archiver Appliance?
Yes, there are at least two, arget (part of carchivetools) and ca2aa.
You can find both of them in github:
https://github.com/epicsdeb/carchivetools
https://github.com/mdavidsaver/ca2aa
cf.
https://indico.fnal.gov/event/9718/contributions/115209/attachments/74704/
We used arget to convert our 10-years of Channel Archiver data to AA
in 2017. I tested both and found that ca2aa works much faster but
arget is suitable for our site because it retrieves a PV stored in
multiple keys.
Best regards,
Shuei
