Hi Donny,

 

As long as you use “sudo manage-iocs start myIOC” to start your IOC and “sudo manage-iocs stop myIOC” to stop your IOC, the Python process "python your-python-file.py" should be automatically terminated when the IOC is stopped.

 

Try this before and after you type “sudo manage-iocs stop myIOC”: ps -ef | grep your-python-file.py

You will see the process come and then go away.

Hi,

I added - system "python your-python-file.py &" to my st.cmd file and
when the ioc starts, the python scripts start! Thank you for the
suggestion.

However when I stop the ioc, the python scripts remain running in the
background. How can I get the python scripts to stop when the ioc is
stopped?
