Re: EPICS Base building for NI myRIO (arm linux)

 Hello all,

I am trying to install EPICS base 7 on a NI myRIO 1900 (ARM CortexA9) with Linux RT.

I am installing in the host itself.

At some point of the installation, I get the following error:

"../flex/ccl.c:147:37: error: too many arguments to function 'char* readable_form()'
             fputs( readable_form( i ), file );"

I'm afraid some library is missing, but I have no clue.

Any help is very welcome.

I'm surprised your compiler is complaining about this, though. Can you share what version and what compiler options, if any, you're using?

Could you provide more of the build output?

At minimum, the full command line when ccl.c is compiled.

I'm wondering if this ccl.c is being compiled as c++ code
('g++' vs. 'gcc').  The prototype of readable_form() is
valid, if antiquated C syntax.  However, if treated as 

c++, should result in the error you report.

It was just the g++ compiler; for some reason symlink was not working.

EPICS is running on myRIO. Next step, caLAB.
