Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System

Hi,
Our specified interest in a student to support us with epics applications was guided mainly by the expectation that the work will be intermittent, in smaller packages, should
not cause any conflict of interest and of fairly limited complexity. At this point, we don’t anticipate site-visits will be needed and that the work can be done remotely, but this might change depending on how the interaction develops.
Thanks
Chitra

Is there a reason why they have to be students?
Are there fixed working hours? (which may affect, if they don't have to be on site, which time zones would be convenient to accommodate that)
Chitra,
Are you looking for undergraduate or graduate students? Are you expecting that folks will need to be on-site, or can this work be accomplished remotely? Thanks,
Greg

Use caution with links and attachments.
AXILON is looking for a student who would be interested in supporting us with short-term EPICS projects, specifically creating EPICS IOCs for control of components built by AXILON.
This would involve integrating relevant field signals like motor control, encoder, analog I/Os via PLCs, some scripting using e.g. Python, C, C++, and developing user interfaces. To a large extent, existing EPICS modules can be used to interface to the control
hardware, however custom development may also be required in specific cases. If interested, please contact us at
