I would like to use areadetector on windows, in combination with

Princeton Lightfield Software.

when compiling ADSupport, it fails with an error regarding xml2 library.

the manual states that since R2-5, the support package holds source code

for xml2 lib.

clearly, it tries to compile but fails. is it a known issue?
Am I doing it wrong?
Should I fulfill other prerequisites before compiling AD Stuff?

I'd be happy to get some hints,
