We use it for some supervisory softIocs, kinematics calculations and connection with large number of PVs from other IOCs (Its very resource-efficient in the callbacks subscription).

Since the BESSY site has been offline for some weeks now [1]
I will point out what some have already found, that I keep
a mirror of the Ben's git repository, which itself is a
conversion from his DARCS repository.

https://github.com/mdavidsaver/sequencer-mirror

This mirror is not necessary "fresh" though as I had not
updated it in at least a year.  It has 2.2.9, but nothing
later.

Still, it may be more convenient than trying to fetch from
archive.org.

So that we are not deprived of Ben's fine documentation.

I hope that the BESSY server will soon be recovered from
whatever misfortune has befallen it.
