Hello Abdalla, The details are in the CA Reference Manual (part of your EPICS Base and available on the web [1]), in the sections "EPICS Environment Variables" and "Configuring a CA Server": EPICS_CA_SERVER_PORT configures the port number for the client library (Gateway side), EPICS_CAS_SERVER_PORT does the same for the CA server (IOC side). Note that for the client library, you can also add port numbers to IP addresses listed in EPICS_CA_ADDR_LIST, if the client (Gateway) should be able to talk to the "hidden" IOCs in addition to regular ones. Note also that moving to different ports does not establish any access security, so your requirement of "only the gateway to be able to talk with the IOC" is *not* satisfied. Any client knowing the port can talk to the IOC. Cheers, ~Ralph
