Hey,

While not directly addressing your question regarding orbit correction, there seems to be recently some effort to get a “Python Middle Layer” collaboration going: https://indico.esrf.fr/event/123/

Looking at the documents/presentation, this looks quite interesting, so maybe that is something you want to take a closer look at.

Cheers

eddy

Subject: Using PyAT

Hello

So this might not be directly EPICS related, but I would like to collect experiences and opinion. Is there any facility using Python’s PyAT as an alternative to MATLAB’s MML especially for slow-orbit correction? What was the reason to switch? And what were any advantages/disadvantages between the two tools? Any other tips are really appreciated.

Thanks!
