The fields (rbv,orbv) and (rval,oraw) are used to keep track of the readback
values from the device (Nice devices provide this capability. Many devices
are not nice). (rval,oraw) are the raw values and (rbv,orbv) the values in eng
units. orbv and oraw are used to decide if monitors should be raised for
rbv and rval.
