I've been developing record, device and driver support for some home
brew VXI modules. I'm still using 3.12.2 with statically linked gdct
to build my database. On occasion I find that I either need to delelete
a record field or change its name. Some of those fields have been
exported and have links attached to them. When I change a field name
or delete it, makesdr, restart gdct and open the relevant database,
gdct promptly segmentation faults. Has anyone got a solution to this
problem? Currently I have to remove all the links to the record,
delete the record, save, modify the .ascii, makesdr, restart gdct,
recreate the record, reattach the links and set other record fields
to the proper values, which is pretty tedious and error prone.
Thanks for any help!
