Is this the result of the discussion in Vancouver?
Namely: is this nameserver based on the port. ca-server and Jeffs add-ons to CA?
If yes:
- you probably use the EPICS_CA_ADDR_LIST to find the nameserver!?
- do you also use another EPICS_CA_SERVER_PORT?
- how do you configure the nameserver?
- does it broadcast itself (at least once)
- is it based on static files?
- ... and does a ca_search fall through to broadcast if the nameserver is not found?
