We have successfully brought EPICS up on the Radstone rs60x and
Motorola mv2306 BSPs, and built (but not tested) it for the
Motorola 1603/1604/2604 BSPs.
Wherever the findSymByName function was used, conditional code was
added since ccppc does not prepend "_" to global symbols as cc68k
does. It was trivial to synthesize the CONFIG_ARCH files by picking
the options off the WRS kernel builds. The work was done mostly by Susanna
Jacobson with some advice from me.
I will try and get the diffs to APS after the LANL meeting (or during!).
We have only tested a few VME drivers, and a modest amount of typical
soft stuff.
Thanks to some folks at BNL who had done it, I was able to drop a PPC family
installation directly on top of my 68K family installation so that
one EPICS refers to one WIND_BASE (and thus one VX_DIR) and both families
build cleanly. Nice to see
CROSS_COMPILER_TARGET_ARCHS=mv147 mv167 mv177 nicpu030 mv1603 mv1604
rx60x mv2604 mv2306
This is all with R3.13B11--and a nice kit it is.
