Dear EPICS Collaboration members:

Phase Three Logic's management is happy to announce a recent
decision to release a part of the company's CapFast source code
to the EPICS Community to make CapFast software more useful for
EPICS applications.  We understand there have been certain 
integration features which could not be implemented effectively
due to the unavailability of certain CapFast source code.

Phase Three Logic plans to work with EPICS Collaboration
member companies to better define this project as well as to 
develop a plan.  We hope overall EPICS community makes a good
use of this arrangement.

In case your organization is interested in participating in this
joint effort as well as contributing to the success of the project,
please let me know as your initial contact.

As a final note, the release of partial source code of CapFast
will be free of charge, benefiting all parties involved in this 
joint project, both financially and technically.

I look forward to seeing some advanced capabilities of EPICS
tools as an outcome of this endeavor in the near future.
