Hi Paul,
Did anyone have these symbols and edb.def definitions?
If not, you can make your own by using one of the following methods:
1. Copying the existing estep.sym and modifying it
with xsymed and copying the part of edb.def that
is for estep.sym and modifying it to work for the ANL motor record.

2. Using db2capsym to create a new large symbol from the .dbd file
for the record and using dbst -e to create a edb.def part for the record.
With this method you will probably still want to use xsymed to make the
symbol look like you want it to look.

The db2capsym and dbst tools are available from APS, if you follow
the links from releases to extensions and then in item #4, the menu
item "Source for CAPFAST extensions". There are some README files
and executables for solaris are also available there.
If you decide to use db2capsym and have problems. I can help.
You will also want to put the new symbol into the epics menu
~p3/wcs/lib/menus.new/epicsl.mnu -- or whereever the menu is
at your site.

Hope this helps.
