Subject: Using a terminal server to catch boot messages

I have a vague recollection that some labs have used a
terminal server to record the boot messages generated by an
IOC as it boots. Is there some standard way for doing this,
or is it completely dependent on the choice of server? I
would like to hear what choices other EPICS sites have made.
Thanks.
