I am using the HP (Agilent) E2050A Lan /GPIB gateway with Epics 3.14b2.
I have some device support for a scope which I've modified from pre
3.14 - and it's running on a solaris IOC. If I leave the device (the
gateway) unaddressed for a 'long' period of time (~30 minutes) and then
send a command to a GPIB instrument, I receive the following message:
hpWriteCmd(142f28, 1320b4, 1): RPC: Unable to receive; An event
requires attention
At this point, the only way to re-establish communications is to
"reboot" the ioc.
Any ideas here?
What values do you have the 2050A communication timeouts set to?
