Hi Robby,

we are using several S7 at DESY connected to EPICS through Ethernet.
The development is based on the code which we've copied from PSI under their license agreement.
Elder Matias also contacted us for our modified version. He could not reach Steve Hunt to get an approval.
Steve??
So we are stuck here.
But if you are going towards Profibus-DP we could work together.
We have a development for Profibus-DP in the pipe. The time frame is end of this year. We will use Softing Profibus boards with the PC104 form factor. They will be installed in DIN Rail PC's running vxWorks. This task just started and I have not jet a clear information how much time we (Slava Korobov) will need to get it running.

Take care
Matthias

p.s. We will start from the Softing DOS drivers.

Ideally, we would like to talk S7 to them but failing that could probably settle for Profibus-DP. From the IOC side of things, we have a Siemens PCI card CP-5613 for communicating with the PLCs.
