At the recent EPICS collaboration meeting I mentioned the
computer that we will be using to archive and store our
history data. There was some interest from other attendees
in the hardware configuration, and I promised to send the
details on to tech-talk. Here it is. (At the meeting I said
that the hardware cost was ~$10,000. In fact, I was
remembering a different configuration and the actual price was
$18105)

In a nutshell, this is a duel 2.4 GHz Intel-based system with
1.7 TB of hot-swappable SCSI RAID disk space. The manufacturer,
Build To Order, can be found at the URL: www.btoonline.com
