Ernest,
We intend to modularize synApps to a greater extent in the next release
which we are planning will occur in January. The sscanRecord will then
be in it's own module.

The question I have is does anyone use scanRecord?

Synapps provides sscanRecord which provides more functionality than scanRecord
so is scanRecord still needed?
