here at Bessy we use a ai record to read the 0..10V vacuum pressure signal and convert it to the logarythmic value of the vacuum pressure. This is usefull to show bargraphs of the vacuum and most people are just interested in vacuum good or bad . A following calc-record converts it to EGUs for numeric display. The logarythmic value is also the archived one because once (long ago, can't remember the details) we had run into the problem that an archive client tried to represent the vacuum of 1.23 * 10^-8 with a float number. This was the true but undesired value of 0.00000 :-) Bernhard Kuner
